Super Friends Weekend

Chicago, rain, good friends. What a combination. Kass and I spent the weekend of Aug. 12 getting together with the old NU crew -- Stanch, Jake, H. Kevin Cohen, Seth, DVDV, Fresh, Bennett, Grosz and the respective wives/girlfriends/fiances. Many highlights of the weekend.  Most memorable was our 2nd Place finish in Arthur J. Gallagher's annual kickball tournament (see photo left). Rain, mud, several drinks beforehand and during, a lack of kickball experience and yours truly pitching didn't stop us from losing every game other than our first round match in the playoff against the best team in the tourney. For the astrologers out there, the comet now called Andrew Whitelely was visible from Sai Cafe on Saturday evening.  The comet, as resident expert Stanch pointed out, only passes through once every 6 years.

Bethany Beach 2005

Kass and I took the kids to the beach in late July. We rented a house right on the ocean in Bethany Beach, DE. There's no such thing as a vacation with young kids. But this was as close as we could get. We spent most of the time on the beach and the rest napping, eating and hanging out. Please click here for the all the pics.
